Scientific Presentations


Scientific work presentations at the 5th Neodent International Congress will be in digital panel format. They may discuss scientific research or report on clinical cases. The sessions will be divided as follows:



GRAND MORSE PANEL AWARD SESSION

Instructions for Submission of Abstracts:
Start date for the submission of abstracts: January 7, 2019
Deadline for the submission of abstracts: April 08, 2019

  1. The title should be no longer than 15 words and the abstract should be between 150 and 250 words
  2. Submissions will be accepted in Portuguese, English or Spanish.
  3. A maximum of six participants will be accepted for each presentation, including the presenter and co-authors.
  4. The presentations may relate to Scientific Research or Clinical Cases which are specific to the Grand Morse system and must be submitted separately on the site via the link shown. Depending on the type of work to be presented, the abstracts should include the following:

    Clinical Cases: Introduction, a case report, and conclusion or final considerations.
    Scientific Research: Introduction, objectives, material and methods, the results and conclusion.

  1. In case of research presentations involving humans or animals, the number of the Ethics Committee’s research approval document must be given. This is not required in case of presentations of clinical cases.
  2. The abstract will not be accepted if the requirements set out above are not met.
  3. The presentations accepted will be announced on this site on May 6, 2019, along with the date and time of the presentation.
  4. The presenter must be present at the time notified by the Scientific Committee for a presentation of a maximum of five minutes. Any delay may result in the work being declassified.
  5. DIGITAL PANEL presentation regulations:

    They should be formatted to be shown on TV screens of:
    Width 1080 pixels x Height 1920 pixels. JPG format
    Title: The title should be the same as the one of the abstract. The names of the work authors should be shown in smaller type below the title. The name of the presenter should be the same as in the abstract and marked with an asterisk. The name, city and state of the institution of each author should be listed below their names. A photograph of the presenter should be shown in the top right hand corner.
    Panel Content: The material should be self-explanatory, with as little text as possible and a maximum of illustrations (figures, diagrams, tables, graphs). It should include all the items indicated according to the type of work (item 4).

  1. The Evaluation Committee will consist of three lecturers for each of the modalities of the Award.
  2. The winners will be announced on June 8, 2019 at 2:00 pm and will consist of the following:

    GRAND MORSE PANEL - the two best presentations will receive an Honorable Mention Certificate and a prize. The following prizes will be awarded to the presenter of the work:
    1st place - an iPhone 8 and a Grand MorseTM Surgical Kit
    2nd place - an iPad

  3. The abstracts will be published in the Congress Proceedings.
  4. The presenter of the Panel must be registered in the Congress.

Important: In order to submit an abstract, follow these steps:

  1. Abstracts may only be submitted via the Congress site.
  2. The author should register for the Congress by clicking on the “REGISTRATION” button before submitting the abstract. Co-authors who register for the Congress should not resubmit an abstract that has already been submitted.
  3. Access the restricted area of the site using the login and password you gave during registration. A new menu will be shown.
  4. Click on the menu “My Presentations”.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to access the form for the submission of abstracts. Fill in all the fields of the on-line form.
  6. Before submitting the abstract, check it carefully. Changes will only be accepted up to the deadline for submission of abstracts.

    The submitting author must complete all fields in the online form. All communications regarding scientific work will be sent to this author via their registered e-mail.

  1. Tick ​​the appropriate box: Grand Morse Panel Award Session or General Session.
  2. Upon completing the submission of the abstract, click the “Disconnect” button.
  3. An automatic e-mail will be sent to the submitting author following submission of the abstract, confirming the information registered. Check that all the information is correct. If anything is incorrect, you should access the restricted area of the site and make the necessary changes. Changes may be made up until the deadline for the submission of abstracts.
  4. If you do not receive the automatic e-email on the same day that you submit the abstract, it may not have been received. In that case, please contact us by e-mail (trabalhos@ccmew.com), informing us of the event for which the abstract has been submitted and details of the problem.
  5. To access the site again, use your login and password. If you have forgotten your password, use the “Remind Password” option at the top of the page.

 


CERTIFICATES

  • After the end of the Congress an online certificate for the approved presentation will be issued to the author responsible for submitting the presentation on the site. To print or download the certificate, the presenter should access the “Certificates” area on the congress homepage, enter their registered e-mail and complete the “Satisfaction Survey”.
  • Important: certificates will not be sent directly to your e-mail.
  • Only one certificate will be issued for each presentation. The presentation certificates will be printed in accordance with the registered order of authors.
  • At least one of the authors must be registered and attend the Congress in order to receive a certificate.
  • If the author responsible for submitting the abstract does not attend the Congress, the co-author who attended and presented the work may request the transfer of the certificate to their name by e-mail: resumos@ccmew.com

EXPO UNIMED CURITIBA

Expo Unimed Curitiba is a large structure located within the Positivo University, 15 minutes from the city center and 25 minutes from Afonso Pena International Airport (on the South ring-road). It is equipped to host events with multiple simultaneous activities in different spaces. The exhibition center and the multi-purpose rooms cover an area of 11,535m2, distributed over two floors. There are 15 independent entrances and over 2 thousand parking spaces, with full support services.
